Organize your addresses now before the Christmas rush

It’s not too early to organize your addresses for your Christmas cards. It’s the beginning of October and in no time at all it will be late November.  It’s going to take a little time contacting people that have moved during the last year. First send an email to the people that you know moved. If they don’t reply in a week or so give them a call. Set up a half an hour a week to call friends and family that has. Organize your contacts throughout the year so it doesn’t become a large job in November. You will thank me for reminding you come November and all your addresses are updated. You’ll be ready to send those Christmas cards on time. If you use Sendoutcards, you can upload your new contacts very easily. If you’re interested in me showing you how to use...

Why I'm Grateful for My Mom

Mother’s day is only several days away. It seems it came up really fast. I remember when mother’s day would occasionally land on my mom’s birthday. I’m writing this blog right after sending my mom a card through my online greeting card website. Sending greeting cards helps me be grateful for others friendship and to think of other people instead of myself. Even if it takes me five minutes, that five minutes was thinking about that person. For mother’s day I wanted to share a couple of things that I’m grateful about my mother with you. I’m grateful for you mom because… – You did everything you could to provide us with food, education, housing and medical care. – You tried to give us things that your...

What does the world’s greatest car salesman have in common with the love of sending greeting cards?

I think everyone knows that I love sending cards and Internet marketing. I’m currently reading “Permission Marketing” by Seth Godin. Seth Godin is an internet marketing guru that has coined the term permission marketing. Seth mentions that permission marketing is the opportunity of delivering anticipated, personal and relevant messages to people who actually want to get them. I decided to combine the two things that I love to do (send cards and internet marketing) and apply them to Seth’s definition of permission marketing Anticipated or Expected – Get in the habit of sending birthday cards and holiday cards to your customers and they will come to expect them. Put in a 10% discount on merchandise as a gift for their birthday. Personal – Most people don’t mind...

Christmas Photo cards vs online card system?

A friend asked me a great question at my home based business party this weekend. The question was “What’s the difference between going to the drugstore or wholesale stores to order Christmas Photo cards to your online card system?.”  Well this is a great question that I’ve never been asked before. I decided to answer it in my blog today. The first difference is that my online card system has a contact manager that you keep your contacts in infinitely. You not only use the online card system to send Christmas cards but for birthdays or anniversaries throughout the year. This system also prints, puts a stamp on the card and sends it for you. I have bought cards from my wholesale club store a couple of years ago and at that time I was so busy that I wasn’t able to...
